All the arrangements made with Horizon Travel went very smoothly, and the hotels were good. Although it was very cold and quite snowy in southern Ontario, we did not have any disruptions to scheduled travel, and the car hire firm were very helpful about letting us return the car to downtown London instead of the airport so that we could leave it near the train station. In case you find anyone else wanting to use Via Rail (the Canadian passenger train service), our experience shows that the economy class (think airline terminology) books up quite quickly, and standing doesn’t seem to be allowed.
